Texas Plastic Lumber distributes structural and non-structural plastic lumber manufactured by independent manufacturers. Product warranties, when available, are provided by the manufacturer—not by Texas Plastic Lumber.
MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES
Products sold by Texas Plastic Lumber may be covered by the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty. Warranty periods and coverage vary by manufacturer, product, application, and installation. Certain products may carry manufacturer warranties of up to 50 years; however, not every product or application qualifies for the same coverage. The manufacturer’s current written warranty is the controlling document and determines all coverage, conditions, exclusions, claim requirements and available remedies.
NO SEPARATE TEXAS PLASTIC LUMBER WARRANTY
Texas Plastic Lumber is a distributor and does not manufacture the products it sells. Texas Plastic Lumber does not issue a separate product warranty and does not expand, modify, replace or extend any manufacturer’s warranty. No statement on this website, in a conversation, quote, invoice, or other communication should be interpreted as changing the terms of the manufacturer’s written warranty unless expressly stated in a written agreement signed by an authorized representative of Texas Plastic Lumber. Nothing in this statement is intended to limit any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
REVIEWING WARRANTY TERMS
Customers should review the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty before purchasing or installing material. Warranty coverage may depend on factors such as:
• The specific product and grade purchased
• The intended application
• Proper design, handling and installation
• Compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Environmental and load conditions
• Maintenance or inspection requirements
• Timely submission of required documentation
Suitability, engineering, fabrication and installation requirements remain the responsibility of the purchaser, project owner and their qualified professionals unless otherwise agreed in writing.
WARRANTY CLAIMS CLAIMS
Ifyou believe a product may qualify for warranty consideration, contact Texas Plastic Lumber and provide:
• The original invoice or order information
• Product description and quantity involved
• A description of the issue
• Photographs and other supporting documentation
• Installation and application details
• The date the issue was discovered
Texas Plastic Lumber will identify the appropriate manufacturer and provide the customer with the manufacturer’s warranty contact information or assist in forwarding the initial claim information. The manufacturer is solely responsible for reviewing the claim, determining whether warranty coverage applies and deciding what remedy, if any, is available under its written warranty.
LABOR, FREIGHT AND RELATED COSTS
A manufacturer’s product warranty may not cover labor, removal, installation, fabrication, freight, equipment, downtime, consequential damages or other related expenses. Coverage for these items depends entirely on the terms of the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty.
CURRENT TERMS CONTROL
Manufacturers may revise their warranty terms from time to time. The written warranty applicable to the specific product and transaction controls over general descriptions appearing on this website.
